Ernest Howard

I grew up in a group home that my parents started, living alongside other children and experiencing firsthand the challenges and realities that families and kids face. Later in life, I took over that same organization and spent decades working closely with children, parents, and the systems surrounding them. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with people across different stages of life–supporting children, families, and individuals in very personal and real situations. These experiences have shaped the way I listen, understand, and respond to what people are going through. I’ve learned to recognize the strengths that already exist within both parents and children, and how to build from those strengths in a way that creates real change. My approach is grounded in patience, awareness, and a belief that every child has purpose and potential–and that parents, even in the midst of struggle, are capable of growth, understanding, and transformation. I come into each conversation with a willingness to listen deeply, to understand what is truly happening, and to walk alongside you as we work through it together. I have a deep appreciation for life in all its forms, and I bring that same care and attention into the work I do with families. Prayer has been a part of my life for many years, and it has always been something I return to in both quiet moments and difficult times. I come into this space not as someone with all the answers, but as someone willing to stand with you, to listen, and to pray together. I approach each moment with sincerity, presence, and a belief that there is value in simply showing up and opening that space.
